   The market will feature local fresh produce, baked goods, plants, local raw honey and more.

   10th Annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.
   Enjoy the exhibits at the new Discovery Center, arts and crafts, live entertainment and more.
   The festival runs from NOON - 5 p.m. Sunday.  Admission is $8 for members and $10 for non-members.

   Swing and Latin Dance Workshop hosted by The Roswell Library, 115 Norcross St., Roswell.
   The program begins at NOON and will be held in the meeting room of the Roswell Library.
   The instructor, Sean-Christopher De Guzman, has been dancing for 12 years and has been teaching for 5 years.

July 23
   Fulton County GOP Chairman’s Council Event from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, 10795 Davis Dr., Alpharetta.
   Special hosts for the event will be Mark Burkhalter, Georgia Speaker Pro Tem and  Brandon Beach, State Senate Seat 56 Candidate and CEO of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
   There will be live Jazz music, appetizers and cash bar.

August 1
   57th Annual Old Soldiers Day Parade  presented by The American Legion Post 201 and the City of Alpharetta.
   The parade theme is “Lest We Forget” recognizing the living memory of All Veterans of All Wars.
   The festivities begin at City Hall at 8:45 a.m. with a performance by the Alpharetta City Band, followed by a special program at 9:30 a.m. with introduction of guests.  The patriotic parade begins around 10:15 a.m., starting at City Hall (2 South Main St.), turning west on Old Milton Pkwy and ending at the American Legion Post 201 at Wills Rd.

August 14
   Law Enforcement - Look & Learn from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 39 Hill St., Roswell.
   Learn about personal safety, calling 911, peer pressure, fingerprinting and permits, criminal investigations and more.    
   Be sworn in, and receive a Junior Police badge.  Take home educational materials and activity books.  Enjoy pizza and drinks at the end of the tour.
   Ages 6 - 12 on the date of the event.  The fee is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.

September 26
   Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition Fundraiser at the Country Club of Roswell, 2500 Club Springs Dr., Roswell.
   The event begins at 7 p.m. and includes a wine tasting of 5 great wines, entertainment by Adam Komesar, “Mr. Sinatra,” and silent/live auctions with all proceeds going to the Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition.
   A donation of $55 per person is required.  Seating is limited, so please RSVP before 9/18.

   “The Legend of the Banana Kid” Puppet Show at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St.
   In “The Legend of the Banana Kid” Little Chucky meets a mysterious cowboy who takes him to a remote Western town that is being harassed by a seedy group of outlaws.  Chucky, pretending to be local hero, leads an effort to outsmart the thugs and bring justice back to the town using bananas as his weapon of choice.  
   Show times are Monday - Thursday at 10 a.m., Fridays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m.

   “Nunsense,”  the hilarious musical comedy by Dan Goggin, will be playing at ACT1 Theater located inside Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, 180 Academy St.

   Kingston Trio Concert to benefit We Will Not Forget Foundation at 8 p.m. at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St.

August 8 and 9
   Centennial Junior Knights Baseball Team Tryouts for all rising 7th and 8th grade boys zoned for Centennial High School.
   The Junior Knights team is a feeder program for Centennial High School baseball and practices and plays on the CHS baseball field.
   Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Centennial High School, 9310 Scott Rd., Roswell.
