The Cherokee Chapter of the Georgia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Meeting at 7 p.m. at the Historic Rock Barn, 638 Marietta Hwy., Canton.

1st Ever ... Great Chattahoochee River Paint-Out along the Chattahoochee River at Island Ford, Azalea Drive, Vickery Creek and Willeo Park.
The public is invited to meet the artists and watch as they create beautiful works of art inspired by the great Chattahoochee River.
Watch the artists as they work, and perhaps find a piece of art that you just can’t resist, one that you watched being created from conception to finish.
The artists will select up to two pieces of work, created on site, to exhibit at a special reception on August 15th from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the Island Ford Headquarters of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

Roswell Mayoral Debate at the Holiday Inn, Holcomb Bridge Rd., Roswell.
Mayor Jere Wood, Councilwoman Lori Henry and Councilman David Tolleson will debate from 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
There will be a cocktail reception featuring a cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from area restaurants from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Come early and have an opportunity to meet the mayoral candidates along with other area politicians and business owners.

Law Enforcement - Look & Learn from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, 39 Hill St., Roswell.
Learn about personal safety, calling 911, peer pressure, fingerprinting and permits, criminal investigations and more.
Be sworn in, and receive a Junior Police badge. Take home educational materials and activity books. Enjoy pizza and drinks at the end of the tour.
Ages 6 - 12 on the date of the event. The fee is $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents.

Bats!! Educational Program from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.
Have you ever wondered why these elusive creatures are so important? Have you seen a bat up close? This program includes classroom education, dinner & bat netting. Hosted in partnership with the Georgia Bat Working Group.

Alive After Five Street Party from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Canton St. in Historic Roswell.
You will find merchants with specials, restaurants ready to serve your favorite meal, galleries with fabulous art and crafts, and nonprofit organizations to inform and educate you.
Balloons decorate the streets and there is live music in three locations up and down Canton Street. A free trolley is available to take you up and down the street all night.

Trilogy Trolley Crawl from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. at Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall and Smith Plantation.
Barrington Hall will feature a Key West Beach Bash with plenty of Jimmy Buffet, parrot-head style music. Swing meets Jazz in the garden at Bulloch Hall where the atmosphere of New Orleans comes to life and Smith Plantation transforms into the streets of old San Antonio for an authentic southwestern fiesta.

“Manifesting Financial Abundance - Creating Economic Bliss!” Workshop at 2 p.m. at Unity North Atlanta Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta.
The spiritual workshop is hosted by HGTV’s “House Hunters” host Suzanne Whang, who is also an ordained minister.
Bring a notebook, pencil and an open mind. You will leave the workshop with concrete, practical, do-able ideas and resources to shift into financial and spiritual prosperity consciousness, and you will laugh along the way!

Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition Fundraiser at the Country Club of Roswell, 2500 Club Springs Dr., Roswell.
The event begins at 7 p.m. and includes a wine tasting of 5 great wines, entertainment by Adam Komesar, “Mr. Sinatra,” and silent/live auctions with all proceeds going to the Georgia Prostate Cancer Coalition.
