   Ages 3 - 5.  Using books, finger-plays or crafts, the volunteer storytellers share stories about the fabulous fall forest.  General Admission.  Adults $8, seniors $6, children $5 and children 2 and under are free.

   “Optimal Health, Anti-Aging and Weight Control” lecture  at 10:30 a.m. at the Roswell Library, 115 Norcross St.
   The instructor for the program, Janet Lindstrom, is a certified health and life coach and has given several classes on nutrition, health and wellness within the community.

   Fall Sky Stargazing from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell.
   Join Emory astronomer and supernova hunter, Alex Langoussis, in observing the night sky.  Learn about constellations, how to locate specific stars, and handy tricks and tips to enjoy stargazing even more.
   Ages 16 & up.  Bring binoculars for a better look.  Hand held Planispheres included in the class fee.  Fee is $20 for non-members, $15 members.  Pre-registration is recommended.

   “For the Holidays” Event  sponsored by North Metro Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecraft Ministries.

   A Bring & Buy will be featured along with a silent auction, live auction and music.

   The Christian Military Fraternity Banquet  at 6:45 p.m. in the Roswell First Baptist Church Activities Building, 710 Mimosa Blvd.
   The banquet will be honoring those of “The Greatest Generation” (born 1901 through 1925).
   A violin concert by LuAda and Curtis Malcom, accompanied by Gwen Malcom will be featured.  A special dinner will be prepared by the church chefs.  Special guest speakers are two WWII veterans, Inex Moss - U.S. Marines and Lee Brown - U.S. Army.
   Everyone is welcome to attend.  The cost is $25 per person.  Reservations must be made by November 9th.

   Monks, Mandalas and Sacred Music Sacred Dance at Unity North Atlanta Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Rd., Marietta.
   Unity North Atlanta Church will host Atlanta’s Tibetan Buddhist Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery for a week of sacred activities.
   The public is welcome to watch the six-day creation of an intricate, colorful sand Mandala, enjoy a Tibetan music and dance performance, view a movie on Tibet’s struggle for independence and brings their pets for a special blessing.  Many of the events are free to the public.
   The Monks of Drepung Loseling have performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to sold-out audiences at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, Emory University and museums and colleges all across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

   “Arsenic and Old Lace”  presented by Georgia Ensemble Theatre at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St.
   This delightfully wicked comedy revolves around a theatre-hating drama critic who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family and local police as he debates whether to go through with his recent engagement to the woman he loves.  His two spinster aunts regularly murder lonely old men by poisoning them with arsenic-laced wine.

Through November 7
   “Don’t Dress for Dinner” at The Rosewater Theatre, 633 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Roswell.
   This farcical concoction involves a married couple, an old friend, a voluptuous mistress and an outlandish cook who’s enlisted to take on different identities in a succession of lies, deceptions and misunderstandings.  The plot is a recipe for hilarious confusion with more twists than a corkscrew.  Rated PG-13 for mild adult contents.
