Laura Rosa Acosta Krushansky, began her everlasting journey with Christ on December 12, 2009. Laura was born November 14, 1929, in Marcaibo, Venezuela to Rosario and Miguel Acosta. She came to the U.S., Elkhart, Indiana in 1948. Laura was much loved as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was involved in several artistic groups in the Elkhart area and was an owner of the Hub Dress Shop from 1970 to 1975. She moved to Atlanta, GA in 1976 and worked at Neiman Marcus from 1977 her until retirement. She was a devoted Catholic, lover of bridge, and with her flair for style, music and family she was truly a unique individual. To quote her favorite singer Frank Sinatra, “She did it her way.” All we know is this: there will never be another like her.

Laura was preceded in death by her life long love and spouse Joseph Carl Krushansky, deceased in 2004. She is survived by two siblings, Yolanda Quintero and Jose Acosta of Maracaibo, Venezuela; sister-in-Law Millie (Lyle) Osborne; four children - Yolanda Ruth Milam, Michael C. Farrell, Dennis J. Farrell (Susan) and Donna (Tim) Webber. Grandchildren Tony (JoAnn) Milam, Ted Milam, Justin Milam, Dennis J. Farrell, Jr., Frances Laura (Kevin) Fanoe, Jackie Farrell, Timothy J. (Tara) Webber, Brittany M. Webber, and Laura M. Webber; great- grandchildren Carrie & Savanna Milam, Sofia Rose & Joseph Rocchi Fanoe and Landon Joseph Webber.

Service will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30062 on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made to Metropolitan Hospice, Inc. of Marietta, GA or to St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
