Alpharetta Legion hosts Veterans Career Expo and Job Fair
Alpharetta’s American Legion Post 201 has set aside the day before Veterans Day to host an all day job and benefits fair.
Alpharetta’s American Legion Post 201 has set aside the day before Veterans Day to host an all day job and benefits fair.
Co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor Veterans Services, the event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on November 10th. The job fair portion is open to all job seekers whether or not they have served in the U.S. Military. There is no charge to participate.
In addition, 30 area employers will be on hand to discuss employment possibilities with attendees.
At the same location, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs, along with American Legion Service Officers, will assist military veterans wishing to apply for benefits or to appeal denial of benefits.
