Dr. Betty Price, a candidate for Roswell City Council, addressed the gathering at the Taxpayer March on D.C. Rendezvous Rally held in Roswell last week. Mrs. Price, invited to speak by event organizers, spoke about the health care debate, which has garnered the attention of grass roots activists of all political viewpoints.

Price explained, “What you aren’t hearing about are the alternative health care proposals that are out there.” She went on to describe the specifics of H.R. 3400, a common sense plan that has been put on the table by a large conservative caucus, chaired by her husband Congressman Tom Price (R-GA/6) of Roswell. At the same time Congressman Price was speaking to thousands of protestors at the Capitol in Washington, Betty shared the stage with radio personality Herman Cain at North Fulton and Friends’ “TEA Party” held at Roswell City Hall,” the Betty Price for Council campaign declared in a press release.

Mrs. Price’s opponent, real estate executive Craig Voth, a political newcomer, had no comment when contacted.

Voth said he was still in the “organizing” stage of his upstart campaign. One source inside the Voth campaign termed their effort as “David VS. Goliath.”
