HomeStretch, based in Roswell, GA, recently welcomed several new board members to its organization. Coming from various backgrounds, the new board members will contribute a wealth of applicable knowledge from all over the North Atlanta area.
The HomeStretch organization strives to meet the needs in the community by helping homeless working families who need assistance in multiple areas including career counseling, budget and financial planning, as well as general life skills training. Transitional housing is also available for the families to rent, with the 27 properties that HomeStretch manages in the Roswell area.
Board President Melanie Noble-Couchman, a resident of Sandy Springs, leads the current and new board members in developing new ways to bring the HomeStretch service to the individuals who may need the group’s assistance, and also spreading the word to the business, civic and religious communities that are part of the North Atlanta area.

She handles various improvement projects such as the current West Side Parkway project that is nearing completion, ahead of schedule. Hanlon devotes much of her time to various boards and organizations in the area.
Joseph Nordmark comes to Homestretch from the financial services arena as a Managing Consultant at TIAA-CREF where he has been since 2003. Nordmark is already familiar with the nonprofit world, as it is one of the markets he specializes in with his financial and retirement planning models.

Plotkin has been with the Chamber since 2001 and is instrumental in developing and planning some of the annual events and programs, as well as leading many of the volunteer committees that partner with the Chamber staff.

Rumble has a multitude of experience in marketing, communications and media relations. She has also owned her own corporate consulting and training company, working with various groups in the Atlanta metro area.
CPA Peter Tarantino has owned a local accounting firm since 2003 in Alpharetta. Tarantino works with small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as not-for-profit organizations. He has been in the accounting arena for 20 years.
The HomeStretch organization is pleased to welcome its new board members and looks forward to the many success stories that these individuals will continue to bring to the North Atlanta and North Fulton areas.
Noble-Couchman comments in closing, “They are well established in the North Fulton area and many have previous non-profit and community experience. I am not only impressed with their commitment to service, but also with their professional skills.”
