Bucking the Trend

In what must surely have been a good omen, the rain cleared last Monday just in time for David Belle Isle to open up his new business.

The Belle Isle Law Firm, specializing in real estate law, has bucked current trends not only by staying afloat in these tough times, but by expanding. Monday saw the firm move from cramped quarters on Haynes Bridge Road to larger offices at the corner of Old Milton Parkway and Hwy 9.

Adorning the hallways and reception area are framed photographs of the Belle Isle family throughout the Twentieth Century in Atlanta, doing everything from operating one of the first taxi services in the city to riding along with FDR when he came to town.

In a show of support for the first-term Alpharetta councilman, the guests at his party were many of the movers-and-shakers of North Fulton. The mayors of Roswell, Alpharetta and Johns Creek were there, as was the Deputy Secretary of State, Rob Simms.

“To have any kind of job growth in this economy is a great thing,” commented Johns Creek mayor Mike Bodker. The Belle Isle firm has also opened a branch in Johns Creek.

“I’m here because this is part of Milton County,” said Jere Wood, Roswell’s mayor. “We came here because we [the North Fulton Cities] are all supportive of each other.”
