Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton’s only professional theatre company, hosted an evening of dinner and dancing at its annual gala event “One Enchanted Evening” on Saturday, October 24th at the Atlanta Country Club in East Cobb. The Event featured the presentation of two Georgia Ensemble Theatre Legacy Awards honoring dedicated GET supporter and community advocate Robert Hagan and long-time corporate partner Kimberly-Clark Corporation.
The evening’s festivities began at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction that included an array of items, jewelry and artwork from local arts shops and boutiques, as well as trips (including a one week stay in Tuscany), restaurant gift certificates (including Atlanta’s renowned Woodfire Grill), theatre tickets to productions throughout metro Atlanta, and a “Wall of Wine.” The black-tie optional affair also included a wonderful dinner catered by the Atlanta Country Club, and dancing to the sounds of the Atlanta band BackTraX. Entertainment was provided by performers from GET’s production of Buddy: the Buddy Holly Story with a special appearance by morning radio personality Cadillac Jack. “One Enchanted Evening” grossed a record $42,000 in proceeds for Georgia Ensemble Theatre & Conservatory.
