September 16 - A three-quarter mile section of Kimball Bridge Road has been closed due to a natural gas leak. A construction crew struck a 4-inch gas line near Fire Station 6 at Gray Owl Road. The road is closed between Rockmill and Gray Owl Roads.
Atlanta Gas and Light must dig around the break to repair it, which is expected to take several hours.
Motorists can still access New Prospect Elementary School and Kimball Farms from North Point Parkway.
On the east side, motorists should use Waters Road as a detour.
UPDATE: The road has been reopened.
