Gorda Luna, Roswell’s first Pan-American Latino grill, will begin its grand opening at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15., with a ribbon-cutting led by Roswell Mayor Jere Wood.

After the ceremony, which will be open to the public, members of the Roswell community can meet the grill’s staff, tour the freshly upgraded facility at 10495 Alpharetta St. (near Ga. 9 and Holcomb Bridge Road), and enjoy complimentary hors d’ouevres.

“Our goal is to offer guests the perfect combination of tropical and Latin sensibilities, served with a friendly vibe,” said owner Ubie Angeles. “While the freshest of produce and choicest of meats are served, nearly everything is customizable to a customer’s tastes. Add to that a bar that offers tropical favorites including mojitos, sangria, and imported Latin American wines and beers, and you’re ready for a good time.”

Gorda Luna (translation – Fat Moon) is named in part for the grill’s generously sized Cuban sandwiches.
