Do you want to get rid of some possessions in your basement or garage, but there aren't enough items to have a yard sale? Here's a way you can clean out and feel good at the same time. From Monday, March 15 though Thursday, March 18, you can donate household items, baked goods, children's clothing, toys, books and collectibles to the Roswell Presbyterian Church’s Women’s group. Items can be dropped off at the church gym at 755 Mimosa Blvd. in historic Roswell.
The public is invited to attend the Women's Group "Flee & Thee" flea market, baked goods and barbeque sale that will be held on Saturday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All profits from the sale have two purposes: to support the missions of Roswell Presbyterian Church, both locally and globally, and specific Presbyterian Women's missions, which focus on improving the health, education and general well-being of women and children in the our own community and beyond.
The last “Flea & Thee” event raised over $10,000 to support mission work. Canita Flint has been involved with Flea & Thee for several years and says, "The amount of stuff we receive for the sale is incredible, and the diversity of the items is fantastic. We’ve received some pretty unusual items in the past. One of my favorites was an old gold barber's chair that ended up being the center of a bidding war. That item alone brought in over $3,000! We literally have everything from bedroom furniture, and formal wear, to some of the best homemade peanut brittle money can buy."
Anyone who has any questions about attending the sale or about making a donation should call Ms. Flint at 770-992-8964.
