Aubrey Osteen announces his candidacy for City Council of Alpharetta. Mr Osteen’s credentials cover a diverse background including law enforcement, county government, civic involvement and private business.

His law enforcement experience includes his position as criminal investigator and indictment supervisor with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office and his position as chief of Fulton County Annex Jail located in Alpharetta. It was Mr. Osteen who first initiated and was instrumental in establishing this branch jail here in Alpharetta. The annex jail met with enthusiasm from local law enforcement because it saved many hours on the road that officers had been spending in transporting offenders. He served on the Fulton County tax assessor’s board for six years and initiated the investigations which resulted in the recent restructuring of this board. He currently owns Osteen Realty, Inc. based in Alpharetta. Aubrey Osteen graduated from Georgia State University with a BS in Criminal justice and minor in sociology. He is a graduate of the FBI academy and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Aubrey Osteen has lived in Alpharetta for just over four years, and has been a resident of the greater Atlanta area for over 40 years. His wife, Mary Jo Wood Osteen, a retired veterinarian, is a native of the area.

Aubrey Osteen’s broad background and experience offer strengths in many areas relating to the jurisdiction of city council and provide him with the insight to make informed decisions in the areas of property and real estate, law enforcement and the special needs of small businesses. His consistent involvement and problem solving in local affairs demonstrate his drive to make a difference.
