It’s that time of year again: The Roswell Woman’s Club Showcase Home is gearing up for its 14th year of showcasing the best home designs and designers in the metro area.

This year, the theme is “Renovation in Bloom,” because the house on display is a 25-year-old, 10,000 square foot house that has been completely remodeled in order to be reused by future homeowners. Since the house is being reused, it only makes sense for the typical renovations to work along the same idea – old becoming new.

“We’ve reused and renovated and used everything that was available and worth using… it’s a great opportunity for all of us to show off what we can do,” said builder Clyde Clem of Cornerstone Craftsmen Inc.

“People are trying to reuse and be more green and be a little more conservative and make do without some of the really, really incredible features that we’ve lived with in the past,” said Chairwoman Linda DePrimo. “ I think this will be a really good example of all that.”

It is up to the more than two dozen designers and artists that were gathered for the designer luncheon where they were introduced to the house and the rooms they each would be decorating, to live up to the theme and the hopes of the builder and Roswell Woman’s Club.

The 2010 Showcase Home will be open to the public March 4 – 28, 2010. Visit the RWC website www.roswellwomansclub.org for more information.
