The 14th annual STAR House Thanksgiving feast was held on Thursday to a crowd of more than 60 children and their families – a little over 300 people at Roswell’s Mimosa Elementary School.

The food – turkey, pasta, salad and garlic rolls – was provided by Ippolito’s Italian Restaurant, with cookies and desserts supplied by Panera Bread, as a part of its “Operation Dough-nation.”

“We cannot thank Ippolito’s enough for this wonderful tradition,” said Michelle Newton, the executive director of STAR House.

STAR House (Seeking, Teaching And Reading) is an after school program that cares for nearly 300 at-risk children in Roswell when school lets out, providing them with a safe environment to study, do homework and play.
