Centennial Prediction
Altork's Take on Centennial
One thing to watch will be just how fruitful the passing game will be. Scott Laffler was the starting quarterback the past two seasons, but he wasn’t much of a passing threat. The Knights played several games the past two years where they threw the ball fewer than five times. But when passing was a necessity, Gilrain was often the man on the field. If that experience translates into some sort of chemistry between him and stud receiver Tony Bradley, the Knights will be very tough to defend.
The other thing to watch will be the Knights’ karma. After three seasons filled with near misses, Measor’s Knights appear to be due to get some breaks to go their way.
North Forsyth and Roswell appear to be the early favorites in the region, but talent-wise Centennial can keep pace. If everything goes their way, they could make a run at the region title. But based on past performance, they’ll probably figure out a way to lose at least two region games.
Final record: 6-4, Third in Region 6-AAAAA.
