Chattahoochee Prediction
Gitman's Guess on Hooch
With the recent reclassification, Chattahoochee should have success this year in Region 7-AAAA. They open at Lambert Sept. 3 and then have back-to-back home games against Forsyth Central and Creekview. Their toughest competition this year will be Northwest Whitfield and Sequoyah, but most of the other teams on the schedule finished below .500 last year, including South Forsyth who went 1-9.
Chattahoochee put up a good fight the last two years while playing in 'region impossible' AKA the Gwinnett loaded region 7-AAAAA. They finished a respectable seventh in both 2008 and 2009, but nowhere near the postseason. The Cougars haven't made the playoffs since 2007, but I fully expect that to change this year.
I'm expecting Chattahoochee to go 7-3 this year and finish third in the Region.
