Twitter. Lindsay Lohan is doing it. Chad Ochocinco is doing it. The New York Times is doing it. And now, your friendly neighborhood Beacon is doing it. On Friday, August 28, the Beacon made its first tweet under the name @BeaconNewspaper.

If you follow the Beacon on twitter, you'll get the most up-to-date news and information that North Fulton has to offer. On Friday nights, we will offer quarterly updates of all area high school football games.

During the week, look for updates on what stories you can expect in this Sunday's Beacon. Also, each week on the Twitter account, we'll announce the guests for the Beacon Hour. The Beacon Hour airs 11 a.m.-12 p.m. each and every Sunday on WGKA-920 am. John Breech kicks off the hour with thirty minutes of North Fulton high school sports talk. Breech then hands the show off to Beacon Publisher John Fredericks who will bring in guests that are in touch and in the know when it comes to the North Fulton political scene.
